Our 24-hour
crisis line, staffed by trained volunteers, provides
short-term crisis intervention to recent and
past survivors of rape and related crimes, as
well as their concerned families and friends.

Educational Programs
The Griffin Sexual
Assault Center's most frequent activity is
providing education to the community. We
can provide multi-session curriculum programs
or one-time presentations. We have provided
education on facts about sexual assault,
the impact of the crime, prevention and risk
reduction, self-defense, sexual harassment,
and healthy relationships for the following

Training
The Griffin Sexual Assault Center provides training to local professionals on request. We have provided training to professionals at the Spalding County Department of Family and Children's Services and the Griffin-Spalding County Schools. Support Group
The Griffin Sexual Assault Center is pleased to offer a support group for
adult survivors of sexual assault and abuse. Our first group is now forming. For

Professional Counseling
The Griffin Sexual Assault Center offers FREE counseling by a licensed

Library
The Griffin Sexual Assault Center provides a small library of books, videos, manuals, and brochures that are available for use in our offices. For information or to schedule an appointment, please call 770-229-3116, ext. 22.
Volunteer Opportunities
We are always looking for volunteers to staff the hotline, assist with community education, and (here's the fun part) assist at local events and festivals. Volunteers must be over 18, pass a criminal background check, be interviewed by the Program Director, and attend a 25-hour training. For information about volunteering, please 770-229-3116, ext. 22.
